Giveaway for Kaitlynn

Today, I want to do something a little bit different.
I want to share with you a very special request from one of
my fellow Design Team members.

She has a beautiful, and very sick, little girl.
She is requesting cards for her little one.
In exchange, she is offering up some blog candy.

I hope that you will take the time to read what she has written below
and maybe have time to make a card for this sweet girl.

THANKS!
Holly H

Giveway for my Daughter
Coucou tout le monde!

Hello everybody!

Aujourd'hui, c'est un poste un peu spécial sur mon blog.

Today, it is a little bit special post on my blog.

Voici une petite explication:

This is a little explanation:

" As many of you know it, I have 5 children among whom a 5-year-old girl, Katlynn. For 9 weeks now, she is sick. She began with a flu, then one week later, a pharyngitis and finally, 5 days after the end of her treatment antibiotic, a second pharyngitis. After two new bottles of antibiotic to be taken, she continued to have a temperature. On April 12th, our doctor decided to make her a big blood test and an urine test. The results of these analyses show us that she has a mononucléose, a cytomégalovirus, a viral hepatitis and an infection urinaire. It has been 9 weeks since she non-stop falls ill. At the beginning of last week, we had to go to a paediatrician's who, having seen the results of analyses and having sounded her, decided to hospitalize her. She will be spread during another three weeks if everything is well. "

Afin de lui remonter le moral, une de mes amie m'a donné l'idée de vous proposer un petit "Blog Candy".

To go back up to her the morale, one of my friend gave me the idea to propose you a small " Giveway ".

En effet, voici ce que je vous propose:

Spring Medley!

Happy Spring!
I am so very glad that it is Spring.
I am very tired of cold Winter weather.
So, in celebration of warmer weather, I wanted to make
a card with some pretty flowers.
I saw this great stamp over at From The Heart Stamps
and I just had to have it!
I also decided to use a From The Heart Stamps sketch.
Sketch064.jpg
Created by Barb Penn

I used some great DCWV green glittered cardstock.
I pulled out some great polka-dotted paper from my stash.
And used some pretty purple paper too.
Purple and Green are definitely my favorite color combo.
I colored my flowers in pretty purple, pink, and yellow.
I used to not care for the color yellow, but it's starting to grow on me.

I just love this stamp!
From The Heart has some more great stamps if you want to check them out.

Isn't it great?!  I just love it!

We are being sponsored this challenge by

And

I got to use a fabulous stamp from Dilly Beans!
I just absolutely love it!!!

I used some great papers from Echo Park Summer 6x6 paper pad.
A little bit of DCWV blue glitter paper and
some pretty blue flowered paper from Graphic 45 "Botanical Tea" 6x6 pad.

I really love all colors, so I don't really have a favorite one (they are ALL my favorites!), but 2 of my favorites are blue and yellow together.
It just feels so happy!

I added some pretty turquoise/blue and yellow flowers with a crystal center.
I also added a gorgeous crystal spray. Love the crystals!

Movie Time!

I was on Diva's By Design's Challenge Blog
and fell in LOVE with their challenge this week.
Let's Go To The Movies!

I love movies!
So I was very excited to make something movie inspired.
And since I always give movies for birthday and Christmas presents,
I decided on making a tag to use with a movie present.
Add a couple of movies, some popcorn, movie theatre gift certificates, etc and you've got a fun birthday gift.

I used an adorable stamp from Lacy Sunshine Eleanor & Pickles 3D Movie.
Aren't they adorable?!
For my background paper, I took a popcorn box we got at the movies, and scanned it on the copier.  Then I did a little bit of color enhancing on the picture.

I decided on mostly red, white, black, and yellow colors.
I absolutely love a "movie" color scheme.
I would say this is one of my favorite color combos, but I really love all colors!!

I added some great Tim Holtz movie film, a few crystals, and some fibers.
I also added one of our family movie tickets to the background.
I thought this would make a good tag with a good memory.

If you haven't checked out these stamps yet, I hope that you will stop
by their shops and take a look.

This week I got to use a really great stamp from The Paper Shelter.
I wanted to do something with a Springy/Summery feel to it.
I thought this paper with the County Fair on it was perfect for the convertible stamp.  Just ready for cruisin'!

I used some cute paper from My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad.
I added a cute little wood trim from Stay True To God.

I hope that you will join us over at Just Inspirational Challenges this week.

My New Spring Outfit

WOW! We have had absolutely gorgeous weather the last few days.
I am sooo lovin' it!
It has really put me in the mood for this week's
All Dressed Up challenge.
The theme this week is SPRING!

I used this really cute stamp "Love My Sister".

Love My Sister

As much as I love this stamp, since I only have one daughter,
I only used one of the girls.

I decided to make a tag to put on a gift for my daughter.
A new Spring outfit.

I used DCWV Sweet Stack paper.
I added some white pleated and pink ruffled gingham trim.
A few sparkly flowers, some crystals, and a few ribbons for an added touch.

The pink and white colors with the flowers and ruffles
really make me think of Spring.

Please join us over at All Dressed Up Challenges this week.

Bubble Time!

Happy Sunday afternoon!!
It is one beautiful day, and I'm lovin' it!

I wanted to share this adorable Lacy Sunshine stamp I used on my latest tag.
I needed to make a tag to put with a bottle of bubble bath
that I am going to be giving as a gift with some other bath things.
Kind of a Spa gift.

Isn't she just too cute!
And perfect for this gift!

The sentiment is form All Dressed Up.
These are some fabulous stamps.

I used Graphic 45 Botanical 6x6 paper pad.
I added some fabulous lace and fibers.
And for the bubbles, I originally used some Glossy Accents,
but then decided to use these great gems I found at Michael's Craft Store.
Don't they look just like real bubbles?

I also wanted to add a little distressing look for a more shabby chic look.
So, I used a small paintbrush to roll down the edge of one of the corners.

Spring is Here!

I hope everyone is doing well today.
I am sooo ready for Spring weather, and we had it today.
Just beautiful!!

So I was in the mood to do a Springy project, and one of the ones I
decided on was a From The Heart stamp.

I used their sketch for this because I really liked how it fit with this stamp.

For the Love of Music

Good Monday Morning!!
And this is a fabulous Monday morning.
I have been sick for the past week, but today I am feeling much better.

Today I have a tag/bookmark I want to share with you.
I used a fabulous new stamp from All Dressed Up stamps.
They have just released some more fabulous stamps.

They are wonderful!!!

http://alldressedupchallenges.blogspot.com/

For this card I used one of their new stamps
"Just So Cool".
This one reminds me so much of my daughter, I had to use her.

I used some fabulous paper from DCWV Performance mat stack.
I added some white glitter paper to the top of the tag.
I added some sparkly music note cutouts from a music border punch.
I also added some pretty glittery ribbon accross the top.

And of course since I love glitter and sparkle, I added some black crystals along one side, and some clear crystals in the border next to the girl.
I also used my silver glitter pen to color her hair barrette.

For the final touch I added some black/white polka-dotted ribbon,
some pretty silver fibers, and some other ribbons and fibers.

I have been doing a lot of nothing this weekend since I have been so sick.
But I did decide to do another card.

I used the sketch from From The Heart.

Sketch060.jpg

I used this cute little stamp from From The Heart stamps.
I paired it with DCWV Sweet Stack (one of my all time favorites).
I made a little bow out of some netting and then framed the bunny with it.

And I decided to do something different this time, I didn't use my Copics.
I decided to use color pencils.

Chef Cookbook Book Marker

Since I have been feeling under the weather still,
I have been doing a little bit of crafting.

Since my daughter is an avid baker and cook,
I decided to make her a bookmark for her cookbook.

My daughter and I both love the chalkboard look, so this was perfect for her.

I used my Copic markers to make the "chalkboard".

I used this super cute Chef stamp from Bugaboo.
I used some Teresa Collins "Noel" paper for the tablecloth.
And of course, I added some fabulous red, black, and white ribbons and fibers.
